I think those pads are scented with pee smells or hormones to attract doggos to pee there and she may have been wanted to get the "other dog" smell out or wanted to check it out for herself and find th esource

Maybe her maternal instinct is saying, "Hey, don't handle my babies so much". Animals like to smell their babies and perhaps just like us they have that baby smell that might be overlayed by something you have on you or about you. Scents or fabric conditioner etc. Maybe she is checking that she can get away with it so she knows she can trust you, if she has been previously owned. Maybe its just part of her personality. Or a nest building instinct. Or she wants ten minutes with a great big bone. Or she is just insecure. Or she just likes to chew. Or she just wants you to leave her babies alone. Sometimes pregnancy can send any female a bit crazy.

Dogs like humans go thru things after pregnancy Joey. All her hormones are coming back and changing, possibly separation issues and yes behavior and body language changes. She is brave my gosh 2nd litter back to back and fair to her or her mental health.

Nursing mothers need more food and treats and she probably got nervous and wanted to go out maybe she needs more attention to get out or maybe her beds not comfortable she was trying to cut things up to fluff it ?

Dogs often feel safer in a kennel. It's kind of like a small cave/tunnel that wild dogs would often dig for a female to have pups in...more secure and safe. Don't be worried about her moving them into the kennel.

I would keep a baby monitor in the garage, that will let you keep an eye on what's going on. She's moving them because she hears your dogs inside, and noises outside.

Every dog I have had poops twice a day. If you walk her she will probably poop within minutes. Mine goes for a walk a few minutes after eating and poop 100% of the time. Give it a try

Oh no leave her be she's doing a great job. It was ok when she moved them into the crate its like a den to her and u moved them on her lol. Plus ripping the 1st bedding was because she was trying to hide their scent totally normal. Good on you for taking her in and minding her, just leave her be with the pups if she's only moving them.

As a stray she probably had to find dens to sleep and is looking for a covered area as that’s where she feels safe as she’s had to hide herself so she’s trying to move them to an area with a roof. My dog loves a covered area under the coffee tables or dining table and her cage as soon as I put towels on top and made it dark is her special place she loves it! Try a covering Joey it may be what’s going on ? They are gorgeous and mama is a sweetie pie! Thank you for all this demanding good work you do to help these beautiful dogs, your my hero!

I really teared up at the beginning seeing her jump up to you wagging her tail. Seeing her go from terrified at the beginning to this happy dog is just so incredible. Thank you for rescuing this sweet girl and her babies. Hopefully it inspires people to adopt/foster if they are able to. 💜

When my uncles dog had her babies me and my little brother had to take care of the puppies when we would go visit and we would wear gloves when we would move them cause sometimes the mommy dogs don’t like when you touch the puppies they move them where they do t want you to gram them or they kill them
